FAQ

Is the BLEControlsPi App code also Open Source?

No. The Swift Code for the app is not open source. Only the Python Code to be installed on the Raspberry Pi is free (MIT License) and open source.

Our Company's app needs the BLEControlsPi functionality to control a product we sell which has an embedded Raspberry Pi. Can we purchase the Swift Code?

The Bluetooth connectivity is packaged as a swift library (binaries) and can be made available in your app by hiring Blue Pie Apps LLC. Depending on your needs and your development team, you can simply install the library with our support and create your own app/screens, or you can also have us transfer current screens for the BLEControlsPi to your app. These can be modified/branded and integrated with the rest of your app. Because the code is already packaged as a library (XCFramework) - the contractual engagement can be relatively short.

Our Company also needs the ability to set the wifi via bluetooth in our embedded product which uses the Raspberry Pi - similar to the BTBerryWifi app.

The same Bluetooth Connectivity library is also used to set the wifi on the Raspberry Pi remotely. The screens for setting the wifi are also available via a development contract with Blue Pie Apps.
